Leeds Summer Camp Interview
Hello All!
Well Me and Claire went to Leeds for our interview, and had to set off at 11:20 to get there for 3:45 because it was sunday and the trains were at pants times! Anyway we got there in time to have some lunch at Wetherspoons and find out where the venue was. When we got there turned out they were running late so we had to push in the queue to make our train (felt mildly guilty about that!). Then a kindly guy closely resembling Tony Blackburn came out of the interview room to greet us, and when I went in it wasn't really like a normal interview; he did all the talking! It was more like just handing over our references and application forms and what-not and discussing (or listening to rather!) what we should expect at camp and what should happen in the next few weeks. The only bummer was that the compulsory orientation days are in the Easter Hols and Claire and I won't be back before then. However, when we read the "What you should expect to happen after your interview" slip on the train on the way home we realised there are orientations in May. Problem sorted! Hopefully we'll be on our way to the USA in the summer, yey!
Not much else to report, just that I've packed my December with loads of plans for going out, seeing people at Uni and going to see family in Wales, not to mention Christmas and New Year, so it should be a short month and we'll be off Down Under in no-time! Six weeks on Friday in fact. That's 45 days. Not that I'm counting them or anything. Ahem.
Cheerio for now!
